OVERVIEW OF LARYNGEAL CANCER PATIENT CARE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objective: To provide a comprehensive overview of laryngeal cancer patient care practices, this study reviews aspects ranging from treatment time management, application of advanced technologies such as radiomics, long-term monitoring of secondary primary tumors, to addressing inequalities in access to healthcare services. Method: A scoping review. Results: Laryngeal cancer patient care requires close multidisciplinary collaboration. Delays in treatment and disease stage at diagnosis are determinants of survival rates. New technologies such as radiomics promise personalized treatment plans, while long-term monitoring (over 10 years) is mandatory to control recurrence and secondary tumors. Conclusion: An optimal care process must integrate modern technology, ensure equitable access, and maintain continuous, long-term monitoring to improve patient quality of life and survival rates.
