OVERVIEW OF TREATMENTS FOR MENIERE'S DISEASE

Abstract

Objectives: To review the overview of treatment methods for Ménière's disease. Study design: Scoping review. Methods: Using database from Pubmed website, Hanoi Medical University library and manual search (from January 2016 to December 2021). Selection criteria were studies on the treatment of Meniere's disease). Result: we found 2326 articles from search keywords with 36 articles matching the selection criteria. 36 articles involving 2426 patients with 11 different treatments were included in the analysis. We analyzed the process and treatment results of the aforementioned methods. Conclusion: Most of the treatments for Meniere's disease are effective in controlling vertigo with varying degrees.
The ability to recover a better hearing after treatment of such methods is not clear.
