OSSIFYING FIBROMA: A CASE REPORT
Main Article Content
Abstract
Introduction: Fibro-osseous lesions of the face and paranasal sinuses are rare and often challenging to diagnose. Benign ossifying fibroma must be distinguished from other conditions, such as fibrous dysplasia. Case Report: We report a 13-year-old male with a large cemento-ossifying fibroma in the nasal region causing nasal obstruction and left eye proptosis. The patient underwent preoperative embolization and open surgical excision. Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis, and the patient recovered well without complications. Conclusion: Although benign, cemento-ossifying fibroma requires early surgical intervention to prevent compressive complications. Open surgery ensures complete removal and minimizes recurrence risk.
